Kana EGUCHI is a program-specific assistant professor at the Department of Real World Data R&D, Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University.
She received her B.E. degree from the Kyoto Institute of Technology, Kyoto, Japan, in 2010, and her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in informatics from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, in 2012 and 2020, respectively.
She was appointed to her current position in July 2022. Before starting her academic research career, she had approximately 10 years of work experience as a company researcher at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) Corporation, Tokyo, Japan.
Her current research interests include biosignal processing, wearable/ubiquitous computing, medical engineering, medical informatics, and human computer interaction.
Her awards include Telecom System Technology Award for Student (Honorable Mention) from the Telecommunications Advancement Foundation, in 2019.
