10-14 Feb 2025 L-INSIGHT India-Australia-Japan Week “Trilateral Academic Dialogue: Exploring New Frontiers for Collaboration”

※英語のみでのご案内となります

L-INSIGHT, in collaboration with the India Desk at Kyoto University, invites our academic partners from India and Australia—those with whom we are currently collaborating or plan to collaborate in the future. The purpose of this gathering is to discuss shared issues, including our common values of democracy, academic freedom, societal challenges, and strategies for future collaboration. Building on the increasingly strong bilateral relationships between Japan and Australia, Australia and India, and India and Japan, this event aims to explore new opportunities for academic partnerships across these three countries. Following a series of meetings and a roundtable discussion, we hope to strengthen trust and cooperation among partners and move this dialogue forward.

L-INSIGHT Roundtable

Objective:

The Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, or QUAD, is undoubtedly gaining traction as a dynamic diplomatic framework. While its original aim was to strengthen economic, diplomatic and military ties, academic collaboration plays a unique role in demonstrating how effective and limited such cooperation is and provides valuable insights for policymakers and citizens as to how a meaningful partnership can be built. This roundtable aims to explore opportunities for the Japan-Australia-India partnership and discuss ways to make it relevant and impactful to our lives.
