Yukari Jessica Tham is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Humanities, Kobe University, where she has been a faculty member since 2023. She earned her PhD from the University of Tokyo. Her research focuses on how people allocate resources and burdens, and how they perceive fairness in these processes. To explore these questions, she combines incentivized economic games with traditional approaches from social psychology. She has received several academic awards, including the Ikushi Prize from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science in 2022.
