Ryutaro Goto is an assistant professor at the Seto Marine Biological Laboratory, Field Science Education and Research Center, Kyoto University. He received his Ph.D. from Kyoto University in 2012. He was a JSPS postdoctoral research fellow at Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute (AORI) at the University of Tokyo (2012–2015) and at Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Michigan (2015–2017). His research focuses on the diversity, symbiosis, and evolution of marine invertebrates.
