KUMETA Masahiro
Kyoto University Graduate School of Biostudies/Assistant Professor
Field of Research:Acoustics and Cell Biology, Biophysics
Masahiro Kumeta received his Ph.D. degree at Kyoto University, Graduate School of Biostudies in 2010, and was appointed Assistant Professor in the same graduate school. In 2024 he was adopted to JST PRESTO.
He has been involved in cell- and molecular-level biosciences and conducted researches to understand molecular basis of subcellular machineries, including cytoskeleton, cell nucleus, and primary cilium, expressing proper spatio-temporal functions. His current major topic is to investigate fundamental relationships between life and sound focusing on cell-level responses against acoustic waves, and also pursuing application of acoustic techniques in biosciences.
